In September 2026, the "Hebei Clean Vegetables Entering Beijing" campaign—specifically the "Six-Channel Entry" initiative featuring a showcase and matchmaking event for institutional cafeterias—was held in Baoding City. Hosted by the Hebei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and organized by the Baoding Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the event saw the participation of Qinhuangdao Tongyou Potato Industry Co., Ltd. The company showcased its range of sweet potato starch and vermicelli products, attracting significant interest from attending buyers and distribution partners.

Rooted in the "Hometown of Chinese Sweet Potatoes," with over 30 years of focus on sweet potato processing

Qinhuangdao Tongyou Potato Industry Co., Ltd. is located in Lulong County, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province. Lulong County is renowned as the "Hometown of Chinese Sweet Potatoes" and boasts convenient transportation and a well-developed logistics network.

Tongyou Potato Industry was founded in 1992—originally as the Lulong County Shuangli Vermicelli Factory—and was officially renamed Qinhuangdao Tongyou Potato Industry Co., Ltd. in 2017. After more than three decades of development, the company has evolved into an export-oriented food enterprise integrating fresh sweet potato processing with the R&D, production, and sales of sweet potato starch and vermicelli.

According to public corporate data, the company occupies a total area of 66,600 square meters, with a total building area of 15,000 square meters and a fixed asset investment of 35 million yuan. Its annual processing capacity includes 30,000 tons of fresh sweet potatoes, yielding 7,000 tons of sweet potato starch and 6,000 tons of sweet potato vermicelli.

Production and Quality: Raw Materials, Processing, and Brand

The quality of sweet potato vermicelli is closely linked to starch purity and the production process.

As the "Hometown of Chinese Sweet Potatoes," Lulong County possesses ideal natural conditions for the sweet potato industry. Tongyou Potato Industry organizes its production by leveraging these local raw material resources.

Regarding production techniques, the processing of sweet potato starch and vermicelli involves multiple stages, including washing, crushing, pulp-residue separation, sedimentation, dewatering, and drying. Notably, the company retains a natural sun-drying step in its production process. Regarding brand development, the company currently owns two major brands—"Han Er Ge" and "Shu Zhong Ru Yi"—covering four product series. Notably, the sweet potato starch sold under the "Han Er Ge" brand comes in 200g spout pouches. For overseas markets, the company has registered the "Yongpingfu" starch trademark in South Korea, where its products have garnered acclaim from food industry associations and high recognition from customers.

Market Presence and Honors: Domestic coverage across over ten provinces and cities; exports to three countries.

In terms of market reach, Tongyou Potato Industry reports that its products are sold in more than ten domestic provinces and cities, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Henan, Guangdong, and Fujian. Internationally, the products are exported to countries such as South Korea, Vietnam, and Australia.

Furthermore, Tongyou Potato Industry is an authorized user of the "Lulong Fentiao" (Lulong Sweet Potato Vermicelli) geographical indication trademark, which is registered with the National Intellectual Property Administration by the Lulong Sweet Potato Association.

The company has received numerous honors, including being named a leading export enterprise in the local industry, a demonstration enterprise for agricultural product processing in Qinhuangdao, a key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization in Qinhuangdao, and an AA-rated enterprise for "financial integrity" at the municipal level.

Driving Rural Revitalization through Industrial Upgrading

This "Six-Entry" campaign—bringing clean-processed vegetables from Hebei to Beijing—is themed around strengthening agricultural brands, streamlining production-to-sales channels, empowering rural revitalization, and helping farmers increase their income.

Participating in this event represents a significant opportunity for Tongyou Potato Industry to expand its domestic bulk procurement and institutional catering channels while enhancing its brand influence. Moving forward, the company plans to further expand into both domestic and international markets, continuing to focus on its two core products: sweet potato starch and sweet potato vermicelli.
